I’m excited to introduce you to Chloe, a nine-year-old child artist from the UK, whose artistry and imagination shine brightly.
Under the guidance of her mother, Ying, a fashion designer, Chloe has developed a profound love for art. What do you like best about drawing?
Chloe: I can draw anything I want to draw, also I can draw stuff that is or was happening in real life.
What was the hardest thing you’ve ever tried to draw?
Chloe: It’s the Polyptych of Whipsnade Zoo because it’s taken a long time and my plan was very big. I must work extremely hard to get it done before the deadline. I just do it little by little every day.

Who is your primary source of artistic inspiration?
Chloe: My mum, she is a fashion designer and likes art like me. She teaches me how to paint.
What inspires the ideas for your drawings?
Chloe: My daily life and my imaginations.

What advice would you provide to other young people who wish to start drawing?
Chloe: There is no mistake in art, be brave and experiment with everything.
Have you ever produced a work of art that tells a story?
Chloe: I have drawn 3 picture books about Toby’s Adventure, I’m doing the fourth one.

How do you feel after you complete a drawing of which you are incredibly proud?
Chloe: I feel happy and proud of myself.
When drawing, do you prefer to try out new styles or mediums?
Chloe: Yes, I do.
What message do you want people to take away from your art?
Chloe: Never give up!
