R.Sayali Ashley Queen: I was about 4 years old when art first caught my attention. By the age of five, I felt a deep connection to art, considering it my true passion.
What aspects of drawing and painting do you enjoy the most?
R.Sayali Ashley Queen: It’s the act of mixing different colors that brings me the most joy in my art.

Which art medium do you prefer and what draws you to it?
R.Sayali Ashley Queen: Acrylic paints are my favorite. They enable me to bring a touch of realism to my artwork, which I find truly captivating.
Are there specific colors you’re drawn to in your artwork?
R.Sayali Ashley Queen: Emerald blue is a color I often start with because of my strong affinity for it.
Can you describe your process for creating art?
R.Sayali Ashley Queen: Belief and spirituality keep me focused, while my love for anime characters often guides my creative process.

R.Sayali Ashley Queen: My art teacher, who has guided me for the past 5 years, along with the scenic beauty and nature themes often depicted in anime, have been significant sources of inspiration for me. Additionally, exploring various pictures provides me with fresh ideas.
How do you keep your imagination fresh?
R.Sayali Ashley Queen: I look at real-life images for inspiration and have a special connection with Japan, which fuels my creativity.

R.Sayali Ashley Queen: The collection of anime characters I’ve painted on small canvases holds a special place in my heart, showing me that anyone can achieve artistic success.

Have any of your artworks been inspired by stories?
R.Sayali Ashley Queen: Yes, I have created many paintings focused on the environment. Our environment is crucial for housing and supporting our ecosystems to grow and thrive. Without protecting and caring for our environment, we risk the well-being of animals, plants, crops, and even ourselves. All ecosystems within our environment are deeply interconnected. I aim to inspire a sense of responsibility and care for our planet in people’s hearts.

What’s the most challenging piece you’ve worked on?
R.Sayali Ashley Queen: I attempted to draw a group called Akatsuki from Naruto, which was the most challenging task I’ve ever undertaken. I always strive to complete an artwork, regardless of its initial quality, and ensure it concludes successfully. My advice to young artists is to persistently pursue your ideas.

What message do you hope to convey through your art?
R.Sayali Ashley Queen: I aim to raise awareness about the importance of environmental protection and our role in preserving our surroundings. Our environment encompasses our physical surroundings and the characteristics of the places we inhabit. This includes the broader natural world of land, sea, and atmosphere. Humans have interacted with their environment from the very beginning. Key factors leading to deforestation include agricultural expansion, wood extraction, and the growth of infrastructure like roads and urban development.

How has art influenced your perspective on joy, hope, and positivity?
R.Sayali Ashley Queen: Art goes beyond just a career choice. For me, art has always been a source of stress relief, joy, and positive influence. It allows me to draw beyond the limits of my imagination. Art holds a significant place in my life, bringing me immense happiness.
What advice would you give to aspiring young artists?
R.Sayali Ashley Queen: Artists shouldn’t give up if they’re not immediately satisfied with their art. Remember, ‘practice makes perfect.’ Continue practicing until you reach your desired level of success. It’s also important not to imitate others’ styles. Everyone has a unique style, and it’s crucial to develop and refine your approach to art.
