Adelina’s Artistic Journey

Her interest in arts was ignited when she came across a piece of art being sold for a small fortune. Adelina believed that she could make something similar, and more beautiful if she purchased the necessary materials and gave it a shot on her own.
Soon, she found herself creating lovely paintings on glass using the vitrail technique. Adelina experimented also with puntillismo, painting dot by dot on bottles, and eventually, she discovered and fell in love with the macramé technique, which is dantelle design done by hand directly through nodes on wires.

“I started painting on glass, stained glass – vitrail imitation, then I swapped to painting dot by dot – puntillismo method – all of these on bottles at first. Then one day I found some wires in the house and decided to wrap the bottles with them and do different shapes and models with the wires with the addition of glue. That is when I found macramè technique”, says Adelina.
Adelina’s enthusiasm and curiosity for crafts and arts determined her to “try everything” without setting a limit for her creativity and imagination. From embroidery to jewels, painting, home decor, and even Christmas decorations, she tried and mastered all these forms of creative expression, finding her own voice as an artist.
Obstacles Along The Artistic Path

Adelina, a mother of three, says that imagining and creating art helps her unwind. However, she has faced obstacles along her artistic journey. Sometimes was difficult for her to execute her ideas exactly as she envisions them in her imagination, and “getting things done right” can take days or even weeks.
Another challenge she faces is that of creating art for custom orders. She then must see her artwork through the eyes of her client and bend her vision and combine it with the client’s vision. But, for Adelina, nothing beats the joy she gets from watching her creations come to life.
Finding Inspiration in Nature

Nature is Adelina’s greatest inspiration. “Nature is just perfect with its imperfections or its Fibonacci pattern. You just need to open your eyes and embrace every little spark that comes unto your path,” she says. Pinterest also helped her gather creative ideas during the cold winter days when she felt lazy to leave the vicinity of her old fireplace.
Adelina advises young people who want to pursue an artistic career or simply discover a new passion and hobby to consider what they like, what attracts them, and what makes them happy or smile.

She believes that passion is the secret main ingredient in creating any form of art or pursuing any hobby successfully.
“When your heart is thrilled, that means passion takes over. And no art or hobby can be made without passion”, Adelina tells us.
Adelina cherishes every creation she has made, even though she has given away the majority of them as gifts.

However, she has kept a puntillismo-painted bottle, a four-set miniature wood painting representing the seasons, a crystal mirror with a seashell frame, and several macramé wall decorations. These items now have a forever place in her house and are a part of her decor.
“It is such a pleasure to catch a smile when you offer a unique gift! That is why my home is not full of my creations. (…) There is no comparison with how I feel after finishing a project and wrapping it as a gift! Plus, the smile and gratitude of the receiver… priceless! I never tried to make a real profit out of it,” confesses Adelina.
Adelina’s Advice for Young Aspiring Artists
Adelina’s advice to all aspiring young artists is simple – discover your passion and let it take over! An artist’s passion is what inspires them to create something exceptional and one-of-a-kind. Moreover, one should never give up despite criticism because “art does not follow patterns.”

“I hope I can inspire the next Picasso to start using the brush or to create some other kind of art, and just believe in him/herself. Art does not follow patterns, but feelings. Listen to your inner soul, it speaks through art”, says Adelina.
She describes art as “pure therapy” and advises us to have a lot of patience while doing art and to enjoy the process of creating, and eventually the results will come.

“Few people know that having a hobby will keep you away from depression, worries, or sickness. The result of a hobby is actually an ode to self. (…) Sometimes, your own perfect little world lies in the corner of your imagination. You just have to find it, and paint it real!”, she thinks.
Adelina’s artistic story is an inspiration for anyone aspiring to follow their passion. She has shown us that if you have the drive and enthusiasm, you can make beautiful things out of nearly anything. So feel free to give it a go. You never know what incredible things you are able to imagine and create.

Why not try to make some beautiful art today? Look around your house and maybe you’ll find an inspiring object to reinvent as art. Let your imagination run wild and remember: “Art does not follow patterns, but feelings”!
