The cosmos is huge and filled with unsolved mysteries. Let’s explore together in this article some of the incredible things that exist beyond the boundaries of our wonderful Blue Planet: the wonders of space and the solar system.

The Solar System

The Milky Way is home to hundreds of planets orbiting other stars, in addition to our own solar system. There are eight planets in our solar system, including Earth, and each has unique characteristics. Do you know their names?

Black Holes

Black holes are maybe the most enigmatic phenomena in our universe. They are regions of space where nothing, not even light or other electromagnetic waves, can escape due to gravity’s extreme strength. It is interesting to note that black holes reflect no light, acting like a perfect “black body” (it absorbs all colors of light).

The Moon

Our Moon is the fifth largest moon in the solar system and the only natural satellite of the Earth, did you know this? The moon has a rocky surface with numerous craters and is covered in a thin layer of fine dust. We know this dust as regolith.

The solar system is a huge and enigmatic environment full of marvels and mysteries just waiting to be unlocked. Each planet and celestial body, from the powerful sun to the tiny moons that orbit it, has its own distinct qualities and attributes.
